Third in the series of custom-designed stores – Libertine New farm looks even more LUXE

The 34 sq metres of alluring Parisian-inspired space incorporates an eclectic mixture of seductive features: beautifully detailed 18^th Century inspired cabinetry, French Vietnamese encaustic tiles, the designers’ signature illuminated floating acrylic panels with Renaissance Adam and Eve images, and a masterful selection of detailed plaster panelling. The store boasts some of the most coveted and hard to find international perfumes including Creed, Penhaligon’s, Amouge, L’Artisan Parfumeur, and Costume National to name a few.

Libertine has strong relationships with the most prestigious fragrance houses globally and this exquisitely designed shop creates a beautifully tailored sensory experience for customers.

Fulfilling the owners brief and more has resulted in increased sales a warmer and more versatile space allowing better customer flow around the store and the journey that is Libertine.

Business Restyling, Design, Construction and Marketing

The shop owners wanted a new visage for the business, which has been dealing in jewellery since 1972.  The new baroque influenced styling of the shop reflects a significant shift from merely dealing in second-hand jewellery to high end, exquisite antique and contemporary jewellery which was captured perfectly by the designers.  The owners have now coined the phrase “We deal in Glam Pawn” as a result of the makeover.

The shop design process began with an empty space, changes were negotiated with Brisbane Heritage and The Brisbane Arcade. The store plan had to work around the crucial positioning of an 8 tonne safe above a suitable support floor beam.

The award winning finished result features detailed plaster mirrors, gleaming polished concrete floors, masterful hand crafted cabinetry, suspended mirrored window displays and an exquisite colour palette developed specifically for the business. Baroque 17th century images float on large illuminated acrylic wall panels creating a cloud-like fantasy with an alluring mastery of interior design. A new Citigold logo, marketing campaign and website completed the hugely successful business makeover.

A mid-19th century warehouse was the starting point for another collaboration; creating a layout that would allow 5 new levels to work harmoniously as an exciting journey. Voids were cut out of the existing floors, and ornate staircases designed to link the new areas, and 5 bars.

Wall finishes: faux rust, gold leaf, walnut leaves and ancient concrete.

A night of sassy Burlesque performance, blending exotic music, tastes, and tantalising film, launching Victoria Park Golf Club’s new marquee space to 1,000 appreciative guests.
